See why a message failed. In the patient dashboard Communications tab, a message that couldn't be delivered now shows the reason, such as your SMS allowance being used up or an invalid mobile number, rather than only a "Failed" badge.
Easier to read error messages. Where Hero shows an alert that something has failed, the title now sits above the description, so the message is easier to take in at a glance.
No repeat attempts to patients who have opted out of SMS. If a patient has opted out of receiving text messages, Hero no longer keeps retrying the message to them.
Inbox pages load reliably. If one ticket's link to a patient record is broken, the rest of your inbox now still loads, rather than the whole page failing.
Inbox patient search finds more names. Searching for a patient in the inbox now finds them however their name is typed, including double-barrelled and hyphenated surnames and names in either order.
Booking links can go back to unlimited uses. When editing a booking link, you can now switch it back to unlimited uses and the change is saved.
Clearer sign-in when a login page is left open. If you leave the Hero login page open for a long time, or return to it with the back button, you'll now see a clear "Sign-in did not complete" message and can try again, rather than an error page. Signing in from several browser tabs at once also now works in each tab.
Patient lookups in partner apps. For EMIS practices, partner apps that include Hero features can now find patients by their EMIS record, so you no longer see "We couldn't register that patient" when the patient is in your clinical system.
Patient forms on older Apple devices. Patients using Private or non NHS services can now submit forms and replies via iOS 15 or Safari 15, which previously failed when they pressed Submit.
Clearer message when a patient's session expires. If a patient takes longer than 30 minutes to complete a form, they're now asked to verify again, rather than seeing an unclear error.
Bookings kept when signing in with NHS login. Patients who sign in with NHS login in a new tab during booking no longer lose the appointment they were reserving.
Video appointment links load reliably. Video appointment pages now open reliably for patients, including when the link is previewed in a message.
