This new detailed invoice can be used to send information needed to send to insurers. All information is stored and populated from Stripe. This invoice allows you to continue to update with relevant information after the invoice is finalised which creates better flexibility with the different ways in which our practices run their payment processes:

Enhanced payment options when taking terminal card payments or marking invoices as externally paid from the invoice builder. Previously, users had to select the invoice after saving it as a draft or raising it and choose 'Pay now,' leading to a cumbersome experience. Key improvements include clearer labeling of payment collection choices, more prominent calls to action based on the payment collection method, the option to navigate to the payment page directly from the invoice builder, and automatically raising invoices as open when taken to the payment page. 

Users can add or edit diagnoses directly on invoices, enabling patients to claim invoice values against their insurance seamlessly. This is now stored in Stripe as metadata to enable updates to the invoice information after the invoice is finalised.

This feature enables users to provide necessary insurance information, allowing patients to submit their invoices to their insurance providers for reimbursement. Key functionalities include the ability to define insurance details (Insurance provider, authentication code, membership number) when the invoice status is draft, open, or paid. Furthermore, any updates made to the insurance details will be reflected in the Stripe invoice metadata fields and memo, ensuring seamless integration and accurate records. 

Input practitioner and service date on invoice builder

You can now define the practitioner who provided the service and the date the service was rendered. This information is stored in Stripe, making it easier to track service details. Users can specify the practitioner and service date for non-appointment linked invoices during the invoice creation or editing process. For appointment-linked invoices, this information is populated automatically and fields are disabled with an alert for user awareness. Updated metadata is also reflected in Stripe upon invoice save. If creating an invoice as an admin, the linked practitioner is preselected with the option to change. This ensures accurate and convenient metadata handling within the invoicing system.

This feature reintroduces a clear visual cue to quickly identify pending payments, streamlining the financial tracking process and enhancing overall workflow efficiency.
