When searching for a patient, if we are unable to return a match, there is an option to 'Add patient'
Click on the + Add button to open the Add a patient sidebar.
At this point you can enter the necessary details to retrieve the patient from SystmOne using their NHS number and date of birth.
Once you have added the necessary information then click Search, this will then trigger Hero to retrieve the patient from SystmOne
When Hero has found a patient we will show you the patients details and you can click Add patient to import their record to Hero.
Once you have added the patient to Hero you can then use the message, appointment book and care navigation features.
When a patient interacts with Hero for the first time we search our system to match them to an existing patient. In the event the patient does not yet exist in Hero we will retrieve the patient from PDS (if you are an NHS practice). We will use the data we retrieve from PDS to find a match in SystmOne.
